Instructions for use

1. Determine the number of wasp traps required for the area to be protected using the examples.
2. Determine the direction of approach of the wasps.
3. Place or hang the wasp traps at intervals of at least 2 m (or at greater distances if appropriate to
the location). They need to be in front (relative to the direction of approach of the insects) of the
area to be protected.
Important: Never place the traps on a table on which food is served!
4. Fill the lower section up to the mark with a sugar-based liquid.
5. Important: Leave each wasp trap open for at least 2 hours so that scout wasps can identify this
food source and return to their nest with the information..
6. After 2 hours, close the traps. Ensure that you do not change their location.
7. Check, empty and clean traps every second day.
For apiaries
Place several traps at an adequate distance in front of the boxes or hives in the direction of approach
of the wasps.
Effective area covered per wasp trap
Terraces, balconies, beer gardens: one wasp trap/10 m²
Open spaces: one wasp trap/ 200 m²

Safety information

• Ensure that wasp traps are positioned out of the reach of children.
• Do not open a wasp trap if there are still living wasps inside.
• Do not place wasp traps on a table on which food is served.
• For safety reasons, it is advisable to empty and clean wasp traps in the evening.
