regulates the main power amplifier parameters (signal input, load, temperature, current) in order to draw
only the required current from the power supply for safe operation. The PMS display illuminates in the
following situations:
1 If, due to unfavourable working conditions, the internal temperature increases and approaches the
threshold level at which the automatic switch off function will be activated to avoid overheating of the
system. In this case the system takes control and reduces the power to a level at which the power stage
is not switched off.
2 In the event of excessive power consumption. This situation occurs exclusively under laboratory
conditions in long-term tests with sinusoidal audio signals and dummy loads or in ongoing acoustic
feedback conditions. Here, the PMS system intervenes to avoid damage to the speakers and to prevent
triggering of the main circuit breaker or blowing of the electrical fuses.
