Care Recommendations

WARNING
Do not immerse lead, plug or coffee maker in any liquid.
Your coffee system should be cleaned regularly for best performance and a long life.
Regular cleaning will also reduce the risk of fire.
BEFORE CLEANING
Unplug the coffee system and allow it to cool down.
CLEANING
Control Panel
Wipe with a slightly damp sponge. Protect display when cleaning any other

surfaces.
Stainless Steel
Use a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner, such as Signature Polish, and
Exterior
apply with a soft, lint-free cloth. To bring out the natural lustre, lightly wipe
the surface with a damp microfibre cloth followed by a dry polishing cloth.
Always follow the grain of the stainless steel. Signature Polish can be ordered
via their website at www.signaturepolishonline.com.
Non-Stainless
Wipe the outside of the coffee system with a damp cloth or spray with an
Steel Exterior
all-purpose cleaner. Wipe clean with a lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive
cleaners or metal scouring pads. CAUTION: To prevent damage to the
appliance, do not use alkaline cleaning agents when cleaning, instead use a
soft cloth and a mild detergent.
Thermal Jug
Allow to cool before washing. Hand-wash in warm, soapy water with a
sponge or dishcloth. Do not fully submerge the jug in water.
Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads or harsh detergents.
Water Reservoir Hand-wash in warm, soapy water with a sponge, dishcloth or plastic scourer
after each use.
Filter Basket
Hand-wash in warm, soapy water with a sponge, dishcloth or plastic scourer,
or clean in a dishwasher after each use.
Using the Clean Function
After 300 cycles, the Clean icon will appear on the display as a reminder to clean the
inside of the coffee system. The coffee system will perform 3 stages of cleaning. Cycle
3 performs a 20-minute soaking cycle to help remove mineral deposits. Cycles 2 and 1
rinse the vinegar from the coffee system.
To prevent vinegar from getting into the water filter, remove the water filter from the

reservoir.
Turn Mode Selector to the Clean position. Pour 175 ml of distilled

vinegar into the water reservoir. Fill to the CLEAN line with
cold water. Re-install water reservoir on the coffee system.
Press the Start/Stop button. The display will show the number 3

and start a timer for 20 minutes. During this time the coffee system
will cycle the heater to help remove mineral deposits from inside it.
