12. Disposing of the battery block
CAUTION!
Risk of injury.
There is a risk of injury in case of contact with the re-
moved battery.
Keep removed batteries away from children. Do not
throw batteries into fire, short-circuit or dismantle
them.
Do not expose removed batteries to extreme condi-
tions such as radiators, direct sunlight! Increased risk
of leakage!
Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous mem-
branes. In the event of contact with battery acid,
rinse the affected areas immediately with plenty of
clean water and consult a doctor immediately.
Remove the battery block before disposing of the robot vacuum cleaner or in
case of a fault with the battery block.
Make sure that the battery block is completely discharged before removing.
Switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains adapter from the socket and
the mains cable from the appliance.
Loosen both screws on the bottom of the robot vacuum cleaner using the Phil-
lips screwdriver supplied and open the battery compartment.
Remove the battery block by pulling on the tab.
Remove the battery block plug from the appliance socket.
Dispose of the battery block in an environmentally friendly manner (see "13. Dis-
posal" on page 225).
Contact the MEDION Service Centre or another suitable repair workshop to have
the rechargeable battery replaced.
Close the battery compartment using both screws.
