Connecting the LOCATOR to the Mini VISIOVAL
Only one device should be connected to the mini VISIOVAL at a time. Ensure that the
mini VISIOVAL is shut off when installing or removing imagers or other accessories.
In order to use the LOCATOR, the LOCATOR plug must be plugged into the Mini VISIOVAL
camera's slot.
To connect the LOCATOR to the camera, ensure that the plug and the slot (Figure 1) are properly
aligned. Once connected, fasten the knurled nut by hand to secure the connection.

Fixing the Mini VISIOVAL to the LOCATOR
Figure 2 shows the procedure for fixing the portable Mini VISIOVAL camera in the space provided
on the LOCATOR

Using the LOCATOR
To detect the location of the emitter of the 16 m CABLE camera for Mini VISIOVAL:
1 – Make sure that the ON/OFF switch located on the16 m CABLE tri-pod base is in the ON position
(Green LED Light). Note – the emitter/SONDE also has a 1 hour auto shut off timer.
2 – Turn the camera (mini VISIOVAL) on with the ON/OFF switch.
3 – Simply follow the arrows on the screen (left/right) and walk along following the straightest path
towards the horizon, as if you were actually walking on such a path. Watch the increase of the
received signal's strength via the digital indicator and the waves on the emitter antenna. The audio
indicator will also enable you to know if you are getting closer to, or further away from, the
emitter/SONDE - the volume is adjustable.
