Welding may be harmful to you and others; it is therefore
important to be familiar with the safety precautions descri-
bed in the power source instruction manual.
2 General descrIptIon
2.1 specIfIcatIons
the Pull 2003 torch has been designed to facilitate wel-
ding especially thin aluminum wires, but may also weld
wires made of iron, stainless steel and copper/silicon.
the torch comes complete with a teflon liner, which is
smooth and especially suited to feeding aluminum wires.
teflon has a very low friction coefficient, but it is not highly
resistant to abrasion. For long-term welding of iron or stain-
less steel wires, we therefore recommend replacing the
teflon liner with the metal liner art 1464.01.
In order to be fitted, the metal sheath must be cut to
the proper size. to do so:
• extend the Pull 2003 torch so that it is as straight as pos-
sible.
• unscrew the nut aa, slide the teflon liner out and slip the
metal one in.
• the liner is longer than the torch, protruding by X mm (see
fig. 1).
• Precisely measure the protruding part (see fig. 1).
• remove the liner and cut off the end portion by the amount
measured previously (see fig. 2). a very sharp tool must be
used for cutting, to avoid creating burrs that may obstruct the
passage of the wire (see fig. 3).
• slide in the prepared liner.
• tighten the nut aa.

3.1 setup
remove the metal sleeve a located inside the central adap-
ter of the power source.
Before connecting the Pull 2003 torch to the power sour-
ce, choose the brass sleeve a1 to insert over the teflon
liner protruding from the torch. the shorter (88.5mm) slee-
ve is to be used if using the power source art. 284, while for
all the other power sources you must use the longer sleeve
a1 (106.5mm).
insert and lock the central adapter of the Pull 2003 torch,
screwing it onto the central adapter B of the power source.
connect the wire c leaving the Pull 2003 torch to the con-
nector ac on the front panel of the welding machine.
