PRESENTATION:
An evacuation triangle is designed to rescue a conscious person and allow him to be evacuated upwards or downwards with the intervention of third-parties.
LABELLING: You will find on the product:
- the manufacturer's name: FROMENT
- the date (month/year) of manufacture, e.g. 02/2005
- the product reference, e.g. TC022,
- the batch number, e.g. 05.042 followed by the individual number within the batch e.g. /024
- the number of the standard that the product complies with and its year e.g. EN1498 class B: 2006
- 2 free areas where the name of the user and his company can be inserted.

Product markings should be checked periodically for legibility.
Sizes: TU: One size
This triangle can be used for both adults and children.
Child: 3 red attachment points
S/M: 3 dark grey attachment points
L: 3 orange attachment points
XL: 3 light grey attachment points
USE AND PRECAUTIONS: Place the evacuation triangle on the user using the shoulder straps and assemble the three attachment points in the following
order: Outer attachment point - central attachment point – outer attachment point and pass a connector (EN 362) through these three attachment points. Take
care that the straps do not become twisted while you are carrying out this operation.
Ensure that the person to be rescued is in the correct position for the rescue operations to be carried out.
For safety reasons, ensure that there are no obstacles which may hinder the normal rescue procedure before each time the device is used.
Rescue operations usually require immediate emergency intervention. It is therefore important that the persons carrying out the operation are trained and well-
practised in this type of operation.
The anchor point for the rescue equipment must be strong enough. Minimum resistance: 10 kN (EN 795) Check that the rescue operations are carried out so
as to avoid swinging and the risk and height of a fall.

. The evacuation triangle can only be used by one person at a time.
. This equipment is must only be used by people who are trained, skilled and in good health, or under the supervision of a trained and skilled person.
. Certain medical conditions may affect user safety. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
. Check the condition of the evacuation triangle before each time it is used: Visual inspection to ensure that the straps are in good condition (no cuts, burns or
unusual shrinkage), the condition of the seams (no visible damage) and that the connectors are working properly.
If there is any distortion or in case of doubt, the evacuation triangle must no longer be used.
Existing components must not be replaced nor must other components be added to the evacuation triangle.
VERIFICATION:
. The product's recommended lifetime is 3 to 5 years, but this can be increased or decreased depending on usage and / or results of annual checks.
. The evacuation triangle must be systematically inspected if there are any doubts about its condition, after a rescue operation or as a minimum once a year by
the manufacturer or a competent body approved by the manufacturer in order to ensure that the system is in good condition and safe to use.

SUITABILITY FOR USE:

The evacuation triangle must be used with a system of rescue equipment. Please read the recommendations for using each component in the system before use.
It can be dangerous to create one's own system where each safety function can interfere with another safety function.
The evacuation triangle must not be used in a fall arrest system.
SERVICING AND STORAGE: (Comply strictly with these instructions)
Keep the evacuation triangle away from any sharp objects during transport and store it in its packaging. Clean with soap and water, wipe with a dry cloth and
hang in a ventilated room to dry naturally away from flames or direct heat source. Follow the same procedure for components which have become damp
during use. The metal parts should be wiped with a cloth dipped in paraffin oil. The use of bleach and detergents is strictly forbidden. The evacuation triangle
must be stored in its packaging in a dry, well-ventilated place, protected from temperature extremes, sunlight, heat and chemical products.
