Initiation and handling of HEINE
The power supply may only be used with the HEINE Lamp handle and the suitable 6 V instruments.
• Plug the connector (RCA plug) into the HEINE diagnostic instrument.
• After you checked the mains voltage, connect the switch mode power supply to the mains supply.
• When taking the instrument out of service, proceed in reverse order.
• For disconnection pull the plug of the instrument cord out of the connector socket while turning it slightly.
When the device is ready for use, the operation indicator on top of the housing lights up green. If the display
remains dark despite of existing mains supply, the power supply is defect and has to be send in for repair or the
load is causing an output short-circuit. In this case the load has to be checked externally.
Cleaning
Disconnect the mains plug before cleaning. Do not clean with chemical detergents.
Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use solvents.
In order to avoid damages, do not immerge, sterilize or disinfect the device with spray.
Maintenance
The device does not require any regular maintenance.
Service
The device does not require regular service.
Do not open or modify the device. Repairs are only to be performed by qualified personnel.
Disposal
The product must be recycled as separated electrical and electronic devices. Please observe the relevant
state-specific disposal regulations.

General Notes and Warnings
This product is a high-quality precision instrument. Handle it with care and always store it in a clean, dry place.
Check the correct operation of the product at regular intervals. In the case of visible damages on the housing
or on the cord do not use the power supply.
Do not use the device near strong magnetic fields like MRI scanners.
Do not use the power supply outdoors.
The device must not be used with appliance outlets of extension leads.
The power supply is only approved for the use with ungrounded loads (Class II).
Before operating the device, verify that the mains voltage corresponds to the value indicated on the power
supply.
Heating of the housing during operation is normal and harmless. Make sure that the device isn't covered
during operation, that it isn't placed in close proximity to a heating and that isn't exposed to direct sunlight.
