1. Introduction

This symbol on the device or the package indicates that
disposal of the device after its lifecycle could

unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste;
it should be taken to a specialized company for
recycling. This device should be returned to your
distributor or to a local recycling service.

device was damaged in transit, do not install or use it and

2. Safety Instructions
● This device can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
the use of the device in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision. ● The nozzle can be very hot
during use. Never touch the nozzle with bare hands.
● Never insert a foreign object into the nozzle. ● Only use
the included power adapter or an exact equivalent. ● Only
use the included filament or an exact equivalent. ● There
are no user-serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to
an authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts. ● Do
not immerge the device in any liquid. Keep the device
away from high heat and fire. ● Store the device in a dry
and safe place.
3. General Guidelines
● Refer to the Velleman ® Service and Quality Warranty on
www.velleman.eu. ● Protect this device from shocks and
abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.
● Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device
before actually using it. ● All modifications of the device
are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user
modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
● Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the
device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
● Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this
manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will
not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or
problems. ● Keep this manual for future reference.

5. Operation
● Connect the pen to a powered USB port using the
included cable. You can also connect it to an AC/DC power
adapter (not included) or a power bank (not included).
● Click the filament switch and select whether you will use
ABS or PLA filament (red LED = ABS, green LED = PLA).
● Click the loading button once; the pen heats up. The pen
is ready-to-use when the LED stops flashing. Heating time
may be affected by the ambient temperature. ● Cut the
filament end correctly before loading.

● Insert the filament fully into the loading hole. Double-
click the loading button pressed until the filament comes
out of the nozzle. Press again to stop loading. ● Speed
adjustment: click the speed control button to adjust the
speed (top LED = fast, middle LED = medium, bottom LED
= slow). ● Place the pen in its holder between uses.
● Unload the filament after use. Click the unloading button.
The filament will automatically unload. ● Disconnect the
pen from the power supply, place in its holder and let it
cool before storing.
6. Troubleshooting
● The pen does not power up. Check if the power supply
is correctly connected or defective. Replace with an exact
equivalent if necessary.
● The pen does not load filament. The nozzle may be
blocked or the pen has not yet reached its ideal operating
temperature. Clean the nozzle and wait for the pen to
reach its operating temperature. Contact your nearest
Velleman dealer if the problem persists.
● The pen does not heat or the temperature cannot be
adjusted. The heater is defective. Contact your nearest
Velleman dealer.
7. Maintenance
● Occasionally wipe with a damp cloth to keep it looking
new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or
strong detergents.

eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone
huishoudelijke

2. Veiligheidsvoorschriften
● Dit toestel is geschikt voor gebruik door kinderen vanaf
8 jaar, door
verstandelijke beperkingen, of door personen met gebrek
aan ervaring en kennis, op voorwaarde dat dit onder
toezicht gebeurt van een persoon die verantwoordelijk is
voor hun veiligheid of hun aanwijzingen heeft gegeven,
hoe zij het toestel moeten gebruiken en zich bewust zijn
van de risico's die het gebruik van het toestel met zich
meebrengt. Kinderen mogen niet met het toestel spelen.
De reiniging en het onderhoud van het toestel mogen niet
worden uitgevoerd door kinderen, tenzij ze onder toezicht
staan. ● Het mondstuk kan zeer warm zijn tijdens het
gebruik. Raak het mondstuk nooit met blote handen aan.
● Steek nooit voorwerpen in het mondstuk. ● Gebruik
enkel de meegeleverde voedingsadapter of een exact
equivalent. ● Gebruik enkel het meegeleverde filament of
een exact equivalent. ● Er zijn geen onderdelen in het
toestel die door de gebruiker gerepareerd kunnen worden.
Contacteer uw verdeler voor eventuele reserveonderdelen.
● Dompel het toestel nooit onder in een vloeistof. Stel het
toestel niet bloot aan extreme hitte of vuur. ● Bewaar het
toestel op een droge en veilige plaats.

3. Algemene richtlijnen
Raadpleeg de Velleman ® service- en kwaliteitsgarantie op
www.velleman.eu. ● Bescherm tegen schokken. Vermijd
brute kracht tijdens de bediening van het toestel. ● Leer
eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat
gebruiken. ● Om veiligheidsredenen mag
wijzigingen aanbrengen. Schade door wijzigingen die de
gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet onder
de garantie. ● Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het
gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt automatisch
ongeoorloofd gebruik. ● De garantie geldt niet voor schade
door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze
handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid
afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks
verband mee houden. ● Bewaar deze handleiding voor
verdere raadpleging.

5. Gebruik
● Sluit de pen aan op een gevoede USB-poort met de
meegeleverde kabel. Het toestel kan ook op een AC/DC-
adapter (niet meegeleverd) of een powerbank (niet
meegeleverd) worden aangesloten. ● Druk
filamentknop en selecteer het type filament dat u wilt
gebruiken (rode led = ABS, groene led = PLA). ● Druk
eenmaal op de aanvoerknop. De pen warmt op. Wanneer
de led niet meer knippert, is de pen klaar voor gebruik. De
opwarmtijd hangt af van de omgevingstemperatuur.
● Knip het uiteinde van het filament correct af voor u het
in de pen steekt.

● Voer het filament helemaal in de opening. Druk
tweemaal op de aanvoerknop totdat het filament uit het
mondstuk komt. Druk nogmaals om de aanvoer van het
filament te stoppen. ● De snelheid instellen: druk op de
snelheidsregelaar om de snelheid in te stellen (led boven
= snel, led midden = normaal, led onder = langzaam). ●
Plaats na gebruik de pen terug in de houder. ● Verwijder
het filament na gebruik. Druk op de uitvoerknop. Het
filament wordt automatisch uitgevoerd. ● Trek de stekker
uit het stopcontact, plaats de pen in de houder en laat het
toestel afkoelen na gebruik.
6. Problemen en oplossingen
● De pen schakelt niet in. Controleer of de voeding
correct aangesloten is en niet defect is. Indien nodig,
vervang de voeding.
● Het filament wordt niet geladen. Het mondstuk is
verstopt of de pen heeft de ingestelde temperatuur nog
niet bereikt. Reinig het mondstuk en wacht tot de pen de
gewenste temperatuur heeft bereikt. Indien nodig,
contacteer uw Velleman verdeler.
● De pen warmt niet op of de temperatuur kan niet
worden ingesteld. Het verwarmingselement is defect.
Contacteer uw Velleman verdeler.
7. Onderhoud
● Reinig het toestel af en toe met een vochtige doek.
Gebruik geen bijtende chemische
reinigingsmiddelen of sterke detergenten.
