Dear mum, thank you for choosing a Brevi product.
INTRODUCTION
You do not need to use chemical products with VIVALAPAPPA BREVI Universal steam
sterilizer. Sterilization process is carried out through steam.
The capacity of this sterilizer depends on both size and shape of the bottles but it has been
designed to hold, without basket, 5 ordinary bottles with the relevant accessories.
PRECAUTIONS
1. Read the instructions carefully before using VIVALAPAPPA BREVI Universal steam sterili-
zer.
2. Make sure the mains voltage is 230 V before plugging in the power cord
3. Make sure the electric system is properly grounded
4. Use the sterilizer only for the intended uses
5. Keep out of the reach of children
6. During operation, the water inside is at boiling temperature and steam is blown out
across the cover, so keep the sterilizer far from your baby
7. Do not turn on the sterilizer if there is no water inside
8. Do not use the sterilizer if it becomes damaged
9. Do not move the sterilizer or open the cover during use
10. Unplug the power cord when the sterilizer is not in use
11. If any repairs are needed, contact a qualified technician
12. Unplug the power cord after use
13. If the power cord of the appliance is to be replaced, do not open the cover and con-
tact an authorised assistance or an expert
FIRST USE
Before using the sterilizer for the first time, an empty cycle is recommended without bottles
and accessories, according to the instructions given in the chapter "INSTRUCTIONS FOR
USE".
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Place the sterilizer on a flat, stable surface and follow the instructions below:
• Make sure that the power cord is not plugged in.
• Wash, rinse with cold water and empty bottles and accessories before starting sterilization.
• Remove the cover (fig.1).
• Pour 60 ml of cold water inside the sterilizer. (fig. 2).
• Overturn the bottles and place them in the bottle holder. (fig. 3).
This makes it possible for the steam to completely go into the bottles.
• Place the bottle accessories (nipples and taps) in the relevant holder (fig. 3).
• Fit the cover (fig. 4).
• Plug in the power cord: the green indicator light will light up, which means that power is
on. (fig. 5 - 5a).

• Press the button to start the sterilization cycle. (fig. 6).
• The red indicator light will light up, which means that the sterilizer is being heated. (fig. 6a)
N.B. when using the sterilizer for the first time, the heating phase might start when
plugging in the power cord.
N.B. During the sterilization cycle, hot steam is blown out across the grid on the upper
part of the cover, which could cause burning. (fig. 8).
Your sterilizer will automatically turn off when the sanitization cycle is over (fig. 9).
When the red indicator light goes off, wait 4 to 5 minutes before opening the cover (fig. 10).
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
Your sterilizer requires little maintenance.
Before cleaning always check that the power cord is unplugged.
Wait at least 15 minutes after the last sterilization cycle in order to allow the sterilizer to cool
down.
Clean the outer shell of the bottle holder with a non-abrasive wet cloth.
MAINTENANCE OF THE HEATING ELEMENT
Remove the bottle holder from the container. Dry visible water drops with a soft and clean
cloth. In case of chalky traces, fill the element holder with a solution made of water (50%)
and vinegar (50%).
Turn on the sterilizer without the bottle holder and complete the sterilization cycle.
Wait for the heating element to cool down and then dry it with a soft and clean cloth.
PRECAUTIONS: Do not clean your sterilizer with chemical or abrasive products.
