• pump with twist off debris cap
• battery case (4 D-cells needed)
• storage bag (not waterproof)
• propane cylinder base
• 4 support legs & 4 stakes for base

STEP 1
Select flat area 15ft (5M) away from
tents, vehicles & flammable material.
Attach hoses to their corresponding
hose fittings (as labeled on unit) by
twisting and applying pressure until
hoses fit completely over the barbed
fittings. If not snug, trim end of hose.
STEP 2
Completely attach pump to free end
of shorter hose. Place 4 D-cell
batteries (not included) in the
battery case. Sticker inside battery
case shows correct position of
batteries. Use new alkaline
batteries for best performance.
STEP 3
Close lid and snap clasp shut to
secure lid in locked position.
TIP: Bend out battery contacts in case lid and
case bottom to ensure good battery connec-
tion. Also see back of battery case for more
tips. Do not mix old & new batteries. Do not
mix alkaline, carbon-zinc, or rechargeable
batteries.
STEP 4
Test your pump by pressing red
button on battery case lid. You
should hear your pump spinning.
If pump fails check that batteries
are installed correctly or replace
with new batteries.
STEP 5
Turn OFF propane gas valve then
twist a standard 16.4 oz disposable
propane cylinder clockwise into gas
valve at bottom of heater. Check
that gas cylinder is tight and is not
leaking at connection. Test for leaks
(see page 3).
STEP 6
Secure 4 support legs to plastic
base. Position plastic base on flat,
firm ground. Secure base to ground
with 4 stakes. Insert bottom of
propane cylinder securely into
plastic base. Uncoil hoses and
remove any kinks from hoses.
STEP 7
Place pump in container full
of water. (Water container not
included.) Shake pump under
water to release trapped air. Push
red button on battery case to start
water flow. Water should now be
flowing from showerhead.
NOTICE
Do NOT proceed to Step 8
without water flowing from
showerhead.
WATER MUST ALWAYS BE
FLOWING FROM SHOWER
HEAD WHEN HEATER IS ON.
STEP 8
As soon as you open gas valve,
quickly push piezo ignition
button 2 to 4 times. Check by
feeling for heat from top of
heater. If system fails to ignite
within two seconds turn OFF
gas valve and wait 1 minute.
STEP 9
If the piezo button gets wet it may
short out until it drys. Insert match
or lighter flame in hole on front-left
side of heater above gas valve then
slowly OPEN gas valve. Check by
feeling for heat rising from top of
heater.
STEP 10
System is now heating water.
If water pressure drops, water
temperature suddenly increases
or hoses come off of shower or
pump, point showerhead away
from body & safely turn off
heater until proper water
pressure is regained.
