There are three lights on the front of the appliance:
- The power light; this is lit while the toaster is switched on.
- Reheat button with indicator light – the light goes on when the button is depressed.
This is used to heat up the toast if it has been allowed to go cold.
- Frozen button with indicator light – the light goes on when the button is depressed.
This is for toasting bread directly from the freezer. By pressing the button, you can extend the toasting
time by approx. 30 seconds.
TOASTING
Bread can be toasted as follows:
- Place bread in the toaster.
- Set the desired browning level,
- Push the large handle downwards,
- You can interrupt the toasting by pressing the button (5).
French bread can be fitted into the extra wide slots (cut in half first).
The built-in rack can also be used for rolls and French bread.
When the bread is ready, the toaster pops up automatically.
MAKING TOASTED SANDWICHES
Place the sandwich in the sandwich clips. The clips can be opened by pushing them together by hand.
Place the clips in the toaster slot. Turn on the toaster.
When the sandwich is ready, the lift will raise the sandwich.
NOTE: The pop-up mechanism will not lift up the clips.
Standard sandwiches are made with bread and cheese. You can also add other ingredients such as ham,
bacon, onion, salami, pineapple, tomato, smoked salmon, etc.
CLEANING
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING.
Clean the toaster after each use. This prevents leftover food from becoming encrusted in the appliance.
Let the PRINCESS BORGINI TOASTER cool down after use.
Pull the crumb tray out from beneath the appliance and remove any crumbs or leftover bread. Clean with
exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive or strong detergents.
NEVER IMMERSE THE BORGINI TOASTER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
PRINCESS TIPS
- This toaster is only suitable for household use.
- Make sure the cord or extension cord is carefully positioned to avoid people tripping over it.
- If the toaster or cord is damaged, we advise you not to use the appliance and to take it to the retailer
for repair. Damaged cords may only be replaced by the Princess service department.
- Do not use this toaster outdoors.
- Ensure children do not use the toaster unsupervised.
- Plug this appliance only into an earthed outlet.
- Allow the toaster to cool down before putting it away.
- Do not place the toaster on a damp or hot surface.
- Bread can burn, so do not place the toaster on or near inflammable objects such as
curtains, kitchen roll etc. Always keep an eye on the toaster.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- The use of this appliance by children or persons with a physical, sensory, mental or
motorial disability, or lack of experience and knowledge can give cause to hazards.
Persons responsible for their safety should give explicit instructions or supervise the
use of the appliance.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
