In order to use the cap frame set with the machine, the height of the L-shaped bracket and the ring of the cap frame driver
must be adjusted. Use the enclosed tools to make the necessary adjustments.

Installing the Cap Frame Driver
Remove the embroidery frame and the embroidery frame
holder from the carriage on the machine. Installing the cap
frame driver. For details refer to the instruction manual
provided with your machine.
Adjusting the Cap Frame Driver
Follow the operation described below to adjust the height
of the ring and the L-shaped bracket on the top plate of the
cap frame driver.

Turn on the machine. After the carriage moves to its
initial position, turn off the machine.
Note

Be sure to adjust the cap frame driver with the carriage at
its initial position.

Using the Allen screwdriv-
er (medium), loosen the
two hexagonal screws.
Loosen the screws only by
about one turn being care-
ful not to loosen too far.

Lower the L-shaped brack-
et slightly touching the
machine bed, then fi rmly
tightening the hexagonal
screws using the Allen
screwdriver (medium).

Before installing the cap frame, be sure to
adjust this height. If the same embroidery
machine is being used, this adjustment is
only required before the fi rst time that this
frame is used.
•
If the cap frame driver is adjusted, then
used on a different embroidery machine,
be sure to make the adjustment again.
The required height of the driver differs
according to machine. For details, consult
your authorized sales representative.
Using the Allen screwdriv-
er (large), loosen the four
hexagonal screws on the
inside of the ring.
Loosen the screws only by
about one turn being care-
ful not to loosen too far.
When the screws are
loosened, the ring can be
lowered.
Insert the pad between the
machine bed and the ring
of the cap frame driver.
Lightly press down on the
ring, and then using the
Allen screwdriver (large)
fi rmly tighten the four
hexagonal screws on the
inside of the ring.
Remove the pad inserted
in step 5.
Make sure that each hexagonal screw is fi rmly tightened.
If any screw remains loose, injuries may result.
