EXPLANATION OF THE
CONTROL PANEL
ON/OFF: activate/deactivate
Battery charger indicator: when the LED
is activated, the batteries need to be re-
charged.
Power indicator: when the LED is activated,
your RUBILASER RD2 is operating correctly.
Leveling mode indicator: when the LED is ac-
tivated, the unit is operating in manual mode.
When blinking, the unit is working outside of
the inclination range.
Rotation speed control: each time you press
this button, it will consecutively select the
following rotation speeds: 0-60-120-300-600
r.p.m.
Directional exploration control: each time
you press this button, it will consecutively
select the following exploration angles:
0º-10º-45º-90º-180º
"Manual/automatic" button: you can select
the mode in which you wish to work.
Y-Axis: you can select the Y axis inclination
(only in manual mode).
X-Axis: you can select the X axis inclination
(only in manual mode).
Rotation towards the left: by pressing this
button, you can move the laser diode to-
wards the left whenever the unit is operating
in directional exploration mode or at a rota-
tion speed of 0 r.p.m.
Rotation towards the right: by pressing this
button, you can move the laser diode to-
wards the right whenever the unit is operat-
ing in directional exploration mode or at a
rotation speed of 0 r.p.m.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• Open the battery compartment and intro-
duce the batteries supplied gently them to
fit. Close the compartment and screw it
shut.
• Place your RUBILASER RD2 in a topo-
graphic tripod, on a flat surface, or hang-
ing from the wall. Keep the unit inclination
within a range of ±5º. If you wish project
on a vertical plane, your RUBILASER RD2
should be placed sideways on its three rear
supports.
• Press the "ON" button so that the unit be-
gins operating in automatic mode. After a
few seconds, the laser diode will begin ro-
tating towards the right at a speed of 600
r.p.m. If the instrument is outside of its lev-
eling range, the laser ray and the leveling
mode indicator will blink at the same time.
• Press the "Rotation speed control" button
to consecutively select one of the follow-
ing rotation speeds: 0-60-120-300-600-0
r.p.m.
• If you select the speed 0 r.p.m. and after-
wards press the "rotation towards the left"
or "rotation towards the right" buttons,
the diode will move towards the left or
right respectively.
• Press the "Directional exploration control"
button in order to activate the exploration
mode. If you consecutively press the but-
ton, it will select one of the following an-
gles: 0º-10º-45º-90º-180º-0º.
• When your RUBILASER RD2 is working in
directional exploration mode, you can then
press the "rotation towards the left" or
"rotation towards the right" buttons, if you
want the diode to move towards the left or
right respectively.
• Press the "manual/automatic" button if you
want to work with your RUBILASER RD2
in manual mode. If you press the button
again, your unit will go back to automatic
mode.
