Nivel de ruido y vibraciones
Los niveles de ruido y vibraciones de esta herramienta
eléctrica han sido medidos de acuerdo con la Norma
Europea EN 60745-2-17 y EN 60745-1 y sirven como base
de comparación con máquinas de semejante aplicación.
El nivel de vibraciones indicado ha sido determinado
para las aplicaciones principales de la herramienta,
y puede ser utilizado como valor de partida para la
evaluación de la exposición al riesgo de las vibraciones.
Sin embargo, el nivel de vibraciones puede llegar a ser
muy diferente al valor declarado en otras condiciones
de aplicación, con otros útiles de trabajo o con un
mantenimiento insuficiente de la herramienta eléctrica
y sus útiles, pudiendo llegar a resultar un valor mucho
más elevado debido a su ciclo de trabajo y modo de
uso de la herramienta eléctrica. Por tanto, es necesario
fijar medidas de seguridad de protección al usuario
contra el efecto de las vibraciones, como pueden ser
mantener la herramienta y útiles de trabajo en per-
fecto estado y la organización de los tiempos de los
ciclos de trabajo (tales como tiempos de marcha con
la herramienta bajo carga, y tiempos de marcha de la
herramienta en vacío y sin ser utilizada realmente ya
que la reducción de estos últimos puede disminuir de
forma sustancial el valor total de exposición)

Applications
The AB181 trimmer for connectors is a power tools
specially designed for trimming the slots for the invi-
sible connectors OVVO type on fibreboards or MDF y
solid wood boards.
Its ergonomic desing allows to work in a comfortable
way in any position and at different angles, without to
mark nor take dimensions to make the slots thanks to
its automatic stoppers.
One of the most important features of this machine
is also the possibility to use it as a straight grinder for
metal polishing and also to become into a multifunction
machine using the different Virutex trimming heads,
having 4 machines in one.

Safety instructions for using the machine
Before to use the machine read the attached GENERAL
SAFETY INSTRUCTION LEAFLET.
- When changing the bit or carrying out any main-
tenance work near de cutting head, leave the hand
from the lever switch and remove the plug from the
mains socket
- Use safety goggles when working with this machine.
- Always hold the machine with both hands using the
lateral handle and the machine body.
- After to perform a job disconnect the motor and
release the base before to put the machine apart.
- Place the machine over the base and in a flat and
clean surface.
- Take care that the machine will not overturn acci-
dentally.
- Use only bits with the appropriated diameter for the
chuck collet on the machine and the working speed.
- The specifications of the Virutex bits are specially
adapted for this machine. We recommend to use only
bits according with the machine specifications from

our large range of bits.

Due to the high precission work done
by the machine we recommend to re-
sharpen the bit only once. The diameter
resulting after that operation never
can be more than 0.1 mm less than the
original one. al

Warning!
Be careful that the bit is not in contact with the board
before to switch it on. Once the machine has achie-
ved its maximum speed start to work and switch the
machine off only when you have finished to work and
the bit is totally outside of the board. In that way the
work will have an excellent quality.

MACHINE SPEED IN MODE TO TRIMM SLOTS FOR
CONNECTORS
When making slots for connectors the
speed selector must be in position 3,
otherwise and due to the bit diametre
this can heat up excessively and have a
faster wear. If the motor stops frequently
when working, due to an overheating,
that means the bit is near the end of its
working life. IN THAT CASE CHANGE THE
BIT TO AVOID DAMAGES ON THE MOTOR.
When the motor unit is used with other trimming
heads or as a straight grinder you can adjust the
speed in function of the job to ber performed and
the bit diametre.
ONCE THE MOTOR IS MOUNTED AGAIN ON ITS ORI-
GINAL HEAD IT IS NECESSARY TO ADJUST THE SPEED
TO POSITION 3 AGAIN.
Assembling the bit
Warning!
Before to proceed to assembly the bit disconnect
the machine from the mains. Place the chuck collet
in the correct way, otherwise some vibrations can be
originated or the bit can fall from the collet.
Warning!
When usig the machine as straight grinder use only
the appropriate grinding tools.
Warning!
Check than the collet diametre corresponds with the
bit diametre shank.
