A. HOW IT WORKS
The vehicle is equipped with a system that
facilitates parking manoeuvres in reverse by
detecting obstacles that could damage the
vehicle. When you engage the reverse gear,
a beep signals that the sensor has been
activated.
An obstacle detected is indicated by an
intermittent beep signal which increases
in frequency until it becomes a continuous
sound as the vehicle moves near to the
obstacle itself.

The distances indicated above are only
by way of example, since they can vary
from one vehicle to another according to
vehicle width.

The obstacle detection area always
starts at the most protruding part of
the bumper, without considering the
spare tyre or the trailer coupling device
installed.

Constant tone area: This is the area closest
to the bumper. The PDC detects obstacles
and emits a constant tone, when the vehicle
is stopped and when moving.
Beep

Static area: This is the intermediate area.
PDC sounds an intermittent beeping, when the
vehicle is stopped and when moving.
No detection area: PDC does not beep.
NOTICE
In the event of sensor malfunction, the
PDC constantly emits a tone made
up of long beeps followed by a short
pause.
NOTICE
Familiarise yourself with the system
installed on your vehicle.
NOTICE
If the sensors are too close to the
obstacle, the PDC may fail to emit any
beeps.
