In case of too intensive browning
a high quantity of acrylamide arises.
Therefore, you should avoid intensi-
ve browning.

Interrruption of toasting
Should the bread get too dark, the
toasting can be interrupted at any
stage by pushing this button.
Preheating/Postheating facility
If this button is pressed immediately
after switching the appliance on,
already cold bread will get once
again warmed crustily and bread
which ist too lightly browned will be
browned once again.
Thawing
If the thawing button is pressed
immediately after switching the appli-
ance on, the toasting will automati-
cally be extended in order to toast
frozen bread.
Bread roll attachment
The toaster has an attachment for
rolls that can be attached, if desired.
Two bread rolls can be crisped up
from both sides when using a medi-
um setting. Moisten bread rolls which
are too dry before, so that they tum
out well.
The rolls may not be placed in the
area of the handles. Otherwise, a
temperature accumulation may
damage these.
Crumb tray
During toasting the crumbs which fall
down will be collected in the crumb
tray. For emptying pulling the crumb
tray out of the appliance.
Cleaning and maintenance
Before cleaning unplug the appliance
and let it cool down.
Remove any crumbs stuck to the
browning slots and grids and on the
heating elements with a brush. Do
not tilt the appliance because other-
wise the crumb tray would empty into
the inside of the appliance. Slide out
the tray, clean it and put it again in
the appliance.
Never immerse the toaster in water.
Only clean the exterior of the appli-
ance as well as the roll attachment
with a damp cloth and some dish-
washing liquid. Do not use caustic or
scouring cleansing agents.

1. This product is supplied with a 13 A
plug conforming to BS 1363 fitted
to the mains lead. If the plug is
unsuitable for your socket outlets
or needs to be replaced, please
note the following. If the plug is a
non-rewireable one, cut it from the
mains lead and immediately dispo-

As the colours of the wires in the

the letter E or by ,the earth sym-
bol

green and yellow,
- the wire which is coloured blue
must be connected to the termi-
nal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black,
- the wire which is coloured brown
must be connected to the termi-
nal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
3. If a 13 A (BS 1363) plug is used it
must be fitted with a 13 A fuse
conforming to BS 1362 and be
ASTA approved. If any other type
of plug is used, the appliance must
be proctected by a 10 A fuse eit-
her in the plug or adapter or at the
distribution board. If in doubt -
consult a qualified electrician.
4. Never use the plug without closing
the fuse cover.
