Instructions for use

Before Use

Read the instructions carefully. They
contain important notes for the use,
safety and maintenance of the ap-
pliance. Keep them in a safe place
and transfer them to a future user.
Only use the appliance for the purpose
mentioned in these instructions.
When using pay particular attention
to the safety advice below.

Safety Advice

Only connect the appliance to alter-
nating current with a rated voltage
according to the rating plate. Cord
and plug must be completely dry.
Do not pull the connection cord
over sharp edges or jam it, do not
allow it to hang down and protect it
from heat and oil.
Do not place the appliance onto hot
surfaces, e.g. hot plate, etc. or near
open flames.
Do not pull out the plug by the cord
or touch it with wet hands.
You must not touch the inside of
the appliance when in operation.
Also you must not put anything
inside.
Children are not aware of the dan-
gers that can be caused by electrical
appliances. Therefore never leave
the appliance unattended during
use.
If the following happens, do not use

the appliance and unplug it im-
mediately:
- the appliance or the mains cable
is damaged
- any defect after the appliance has
accidentally dropped or something
similar is suspected.
In these cases have the appliance
repaired.
Disconnect the appliance in these
situations:
- any malfunction during operation
- prior to cleaning and maintenance
- after use.
Do not immerse the appliance in
water.
In case of misuse, wrong handling
or incorrect repair, no liability will be
taken for possible damages. Claims
under guarantee are also excluded
in such cases.
The appliance is not designed for
commercial purposes.
In case the cord of this appliance is
damaged, it has to be replaced by
an authorised service agent of the
manufacturer or a person having
similar qualifications. Substantial
dangers for the user can appear
from inappropriate repairs.
Use
With the ice crusher you only may
chop the ice only made of pure
water. Ice made of juices or with
colour additives can stick the discs
together.
By no means, you must treat food
since the left-overs cannot be
removed from the appliance.

Putting into operation

Put the IceCrusher onto an even and
anti-slipping surface. Prior to first
use, clean the container for cubes
and put it in the appliance. Connect
the appliance to the mains socket.
Put 3 up to 4 ice cubes in the pouring
device. They may not be larger than
25x25x25 mm. When the pouring
flap is closed, press the sliding
switch to the right side as long as no
ice is thrown out into the container.
This process should be repeated
many times until the desired quantity
is reached.
After use disconnect the appliance.

Fault clearance

Should the ice cubes block the grin-
ding discs disconnect the appliance
immediately in order to avoid dama-
ging of the motor. Then take off the
container, turn the appliance upside
down and shake it with opened pou-
ring flap until the ice cubes fall out.
Should the ice be freezed firmly, then
wait until it begins to defrost.

Cleaning and maintenance

Before cleaning unplug the ap-
pliance.
Never immerse the appliance in
water, but clean it with a damp cloth
only. Do not use any scouring
cleansing agents.
The cubes container and the flap can
be cleaned in warm water with deter-
gent, they are not dishwasher-proof.
Clean the grinding discs with clear
water without any cleansing agents.
Then let the container and flap out-
side until the grinding discs are dry.
For UK use only
This product is supplied with a 13 A
plug conforming to BS 1363 fitted
to the mains lead. If the plug is
unsuitable for your socket outlets or
needs to be replaced, please note
the following. If the plug is a non-
rewireable one, cut it from the
mains lead and immediately dispose
of it. Never insert it into a socket
outlet as there is a very great risk of
an electric shock.
The replacement of the plug at the
mains lead has to be done accor-
ding to the following instructions:
