FEATURES
The stretcher was designed to make the handling of patients easier indoors or outdoors on
regular surfaces with modest inclinations, for extreme or urgent necessities. This stretcher is
not designed to accommodate patients and cannot be used as bed. The stretcher must be held
by more than one operator (preferably 4) strong enough to carry the overall weight. For the
safety of the patient it is necessary to secure the patient to the stretcher using straps, not
supplied. The maximum capacity is 130 kg, calculated with the stretcher on a flat surface. The
product or any of its parts cannot be used for purposes other than the ones indicated in this
manual.
WARNINGS
The tubular pieces B, the handles M and all the closeable parts may generate risk
of crushing. Pay attention that hands, feet and any other object is not crushed by
these parts. Non-compliance with these warnings and the following suggestions could
cause injuries to people. Do not use the stretcher with greasy, dirty or sweaty hands.
Do not use the product if damaged. Contact supplier.
Avoid any temporary repair.
Pay attention to any burr on tubular pieces, feet and blocking devices. If visible
remove with appropriate tools because they could injury people during use.
Do not crash against walls, steps or banisters, because the stretcher may fold or tilt
over unexpectedly. Do not store the stretcher leaning it only on the central part,
make sure the feet are completely set on a flat surface.
Since the product is made of corrosion-proof materials suitable for the enviromental conditions
foreseen for its normal use, does not require special care, however it is necessary to store it in
a closed place making sure that is protected from dust and dirt to assure its hygenic conditions.
Moreover, it is recommended to store the product in a place which can be reached easily by the
personnel in case of necessity.
UNPACKING
Always remember that packing elements (paper, cellophane, stitches, adhesive tape,
etc.) can cut and/or hurt if they are not carefully handled.
They shall be removed with adequate means and shall not be left at the mercy of
irresponsible persons; the same is valid for tools used to remove packages (scissors,
knives, etc.).
After opening the packages, first of all it is necessary to check all pieces and parts composing
the product. Check that they are all present and in perfect conditions.
OPERATION
Pay attention to the hinged or mobile elements. Risk of crushing.
Also pay attention to the use of the handles M they must be engaged when the
stretcher is fully open.
Always secure the patient to the stretcher so that he/she does not fall due to unexpected crashes
or steep slopes. If the stretcher has to move along steep slopes (ex. stairs) try to counter-
balance the slope by keeping the stretcher as horizontal as possible. Do not leave the stretcher
unattended with patient secured to it.
