SCOPE OF APPLICATION

EN
WARNING
The temperature of the heatsink can reach up to 65 ° C depending on the ambient temperature
of the room. The permissible ambient temperature of the operation of the f/iSpectrum LED Grow
Light is 35° C. The f/iSpectrum LED module is passively cooled; therefore, adequate ventilation for
the operation is essential. Place ventilators in the room to ensure air circulation for effective heat
dissipation of the heatsinks and thus the longevity of LED.
Application
The f/iSpectrum LED Grow Light system is exclusively designed for the illumination of plants.
Compared with conventional lighting solutions, the iSpectrum LED system offers the advantage
that the user can adjust the light spectrum of the light source in order to maximize the growth and
harvesting potential of the plant. It may also be the aim of the user to adjust the light intensity for
young plants in order to reduce operating costs. The following factors are important: the amount
of existing light, the setting of the intensity of the light fixture, the distance from the lamps to
the plants and the number and distribution of the lamps over the cultivation area. The following
compilations are intended as a guideline to provide the required photon flux density (PPFD) in each
growth stage of the plant.
Number of required f/iSpectrum modules
The recommended number of modules in a setting depends strongly on the amount of light available
in the grow room and on the plant species, as well as on the growth cycle of the cultivated plant. For
optimum illumination in closed chambers for high light plants, we recommend 4 modules for a 1 square
meter space, where the intensity for the young growth can be reduced. In areas with natural daylight, the
number depends on the existing amount of light. The less light present and the more the plant requires
light, the more light modules you should provide.

distance of the f/iSpectrum to plant canopy
The distance of the lamp to the plant is an important factor in plant cultivation since incorrect handling
may lead to over or under-exposure of light to the plant, and as a result the plant's photosynthesis may be
impacted. In the case of over-exposure, a discoloration of leaves may occur; therefore, you should maintain a
proper spacing of plants. Gather valuable information about the light needs of your specific plant species. In
particular, upon initial application of the module, one should adjust the f/iSpectrum higher in the range of the
recommended distance to accustom the plant to the light. Below you will find a guideline that is intended to
show the distance of f/iSpectrum module to plants in areas with and without natural daylight.
