Before first use

Only grasp the appliance by the han-

which can escape from the appliance.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage to the non-stick coating of
the baking surfaces.
Do not use any pointed objects or

steel utensils to remove the ice cream
waffle cones from the appliance.
Before the first waffle cones are baked,
the appliance must be allowed to heat up
for a few minutes while empty to remove
residues due to manufacturing processes
from the baking surfaces. Also for this
reason, the first waffle cones produced in
the new appliance should not be con-
sumed due to hygienic considerations.
Proceed as follows:
1. Wipe off the appliance with a damp
cloth.
2. Close the cover.
3. Set the temperature control (2) to the
lowest level (MIN).
4. Put the mains plug into the socket.
5. Set the temperature control to the
highest level (MAX). The red indicator
lamp (4) shows that heating is occur-
ring.
6. Wait a few minutes and then set the
temperature control back to the lowest
level (MIN).

7. Unplug the mains plug from the sock-
et.
8. Open the cover.
9. Allow the appliance to cool down.
10. Clean the appliance and the accesso-
ries as described in the chapter
Cleaning and care (page 23).
During initial usage of a new appliance,
there may be an odour due to the materi-
als used. The odour will subside after a
short time.
