nue through the fine grades until the surface finish desired
is obtained. Only guide the sander across the surface with
just slight pressure. Heavy pressure on the machine is not
recommended. A high working pressure reduces the num-
ber of orbits, and consequently the sanding capacity. The
machine should be running before it is placed on the work-
piece and switched off again after it has left the workpiece
(this prevents scratches as motor dies out). Dust extraction
ensures virtually dust-free sanding of plane surfaces. Fur-
thermore, dust extraction increases the sanding capacity
and lengthens the service life of the abrasive paper.
Maintenance and Upkeep
Any tool used work with wood will be covered with dust.
This is why thorough upkeep is essential. Keep the motor
cooling openings free of dust and dirt. All moving parts of
the machine receive sufficient lubrication before leaving
the factory. The vibration sander is practically maintenance
free.
Replacing carbon brushes
Our service personnel will carry out this and other servicing
work fast and professionally.
Mains cable
Damaged cables may not be used. They should be repla-
ced without delay.
Thanks to the new mains cable (10) with patent quick-ac-
tion lock this could not be more simple. Press the two lock
push-buttons (11) and pull the mains cable (10) out of the
handle. Feed a new mains cable into the handle and snap
it into place. Mains cable in various lengths are available as
accessories.
Only use mains cables with patent quick-action lock
for KRESS power tools! Do not try to drive other power
tools with it!
Attention!
Prior to starting any type of maintenance job pull the
mains plug or remove the mains cable from the ma-
chine.
Important!
Start machine only after screwing all components
again correctly to each other!

cycling. Due to their modular construction Kress machines
can be very easily broken down into their recyclable basic
materials. Hand in your old Kress machine at a dealer or
send them directly to Kress.
