USING YOUR STRAIGHTENER
Preparing for use

2. DO NOT plug in until ready to use.
3. Ensure hair is dry and tangle free before use.
Usage
IMPORTANT: THIS IS A HIGH TEMPERATURE PRODUCT
1. Plug into a suitable mains supply when the straightener is ready for use. There is no need to preheat
the straightener. See section on Pulse Heat. Always place straightener on a solid flat heat resistant
surface. Do not place straightener on any soft or uneven surfaces such as carpets, bedding or rugs
and never cover. NOTE: The plates reach a high temperature quickly.
2. Separate a section of hair approximately 5 cm in width and in width and smooth it out with a brush.
3. Place the chosen section of hair between the plates of the straightener and close the plates. Take
care not to touch the very hot plates.
4. Hold the straightener in place until the hair is fully heated note this will almost be instant. When
holding the straightener always ensure fingertips are placed away from the hot plates.
5. Once the hair is heated, holding the hair taut, carefully slide the plates along the selected section of
hair, in one smooth movement all the way down to the ends.
6. Keep the strands of hair smooth whilst you work to avoid ridges.
7 When the hair straightener is used in a bathroom, unplug the appliance after use since the proximity
of water presents a hazard, even when the hairdryer is switched off.
8 For additional protection, we advise you to install a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual
operating current not exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your
installer for advice.

HEAT
The method used by your straightener to achieve rapid salon temperatures is "HEAT". This can be seen
in operation by the action of the high intensity blue indicator light visible through the switch .The light
comes on to show it's working.
The light remains static for a few seconds then flashes rapidly, showing that "HEAT" is working. When
maximum temperature is reached the light will slow to a steady beat. Pulse Heat works on high and low
heat settings.
Note: If the straightener is being used on the high heat setting and you switch to the low heat
setting, the light will go out, until the plate temperature reduces to the low plate temperature. It will then
word as normal.
Important: Unplug the Straightener after use,and let it cool down on a heat resistant surface, allow to
