Symbols used in these operating instructions
Important tips for your safety are identified by a special
mark. Please pay attention to this information to avoid
accidents and damage to the appliance:

Warns of dangers to your health and indicates pos-
sible risks of injury.
ATTENTION:
Indicates possible hazards to the appliance or other
items.
NOTE: Highlights tips and information for you.
General safety information
Before using this appliance for the first time, please
read the instructions for use very carefully and keep
these safe along with the warranty certificate, receipt
and if possible the box and inner packaging. If you give
the appliance to a third party, you should also provide
them with the operating instructions.
• In order to avoid fire hazards or risk of electrical
shock, keep the appliance away from rain or mois-
ture. Do not use the appliance in the vicinity of water
(for example bathroom, pool, moist basements).
• Do not use the appliance in extremely hot, cold,
dusty or moist locations.
• The appliance is for personal use only and must not
be used for other purposes. This appliance is not
intended for commercial use.
• Pay attention that the power cable is not bent,
wedged in or in contact with sources of heat.
• Pay attention that the power cable is not a tripping
hazard.
• Never touch the power plug or the cable with wet
hands.
• Only connect the appliance to a properly installed
socket. Pay attention that the indicated voltage cor-
responds to the voltage of the socket.
• The power plug must always be easily reachable.
• Always insert the batteries with the right polarisa-
tion.
• Make sure the position of the appliance does not
cover possible ventilation ducts.
• Do not cover ventilation ducts with objects like for
example newspapers, tablecloths, curtains etc.
• Protect the appliance from dripping water, liquid or
spray water, and do not place objects containing liq-
uid like for example flower vases on the appliance.
• Open sources of fire like for example burning can-
dles may not be placed on the appliance.
• Never open the casing of the appliance. Improper
repairs may cause significant hazards for the user.
If the appliance or in particular the power cable is
damaged, do not operate the appliance, and have it
repaired by a specialist. Check the power cable for
damages on a regular basis.
• In order to avoid hazards, defective power cables
should only be replaced with comparable cables by
the manufacturer, our customer service department
or by similarly qualified individuals.
• If the appliance is not to be used for a longer period
of time, pull the power cable from the socket or
remove the batteries.
• Do not subject the accumulator to hard impacts or
pressure.
These symbols may be found on the appliance and are
meant to inform you of the following:
The lightning symbol indicates that the
appliance contains parts that conduct dan-
gerously high voltages.
The symbol with an exclamation marks
indicates important operating or mainte-
nance information in the appliance docu-
ments.
Children and Frail or Infirm Persons
• For the safety of your children, do not place any of
the packaging items (plastic bag, box, polystyrene
etc.) within their reach.

Do not let young children play with the film. There
is a danger of suffocation!
• This device is not intended to be used by people
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and/or knowledge (including
children), unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or have been instructed
how to use the appliance.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
