Assembly
Preparing for assembly
System is under pressure and voltage!
Danger of injury and system damage from uncontrolled
system operating states.
O Make sure that the system component in which the
diaphragm pressure switch is installed is not under
pressure or voltage before beginning assembly.
Connecting the pneumatics
O For sealing, use a standard copper sealing ring (4) with
suitable dimensions.
O Fit the diaphragm pressure switch to the designated
pressure connection using an open ended spanner,
wrench size 24, on the wrench flat.
Pneumatic connection:
– R412010842:
G1/8, max. M
7 Nm
D
– 8940400122:
R1/8, tapered
Electrical connection
O Only use connection cables from AVENTICS.
The length must not exceed 30 m.
O Use shielded cables if the device is exposed to strong
electromagnetic fields.
O Connect the electrical connection (2) to the socket of
the connection cable (5).

Commissioning and
Operation
Danger if the minimum/maximum pressure and
voltage limits are exceeded!
Uncontrolled system operating states can lead to
injuries or damage the system.
O Do not make any improper changes to the
diaphragm pressure switch during operation.
O Do not disconnect the diaphragm pressure switch
from the voltage source during operation!
Before commissioning the system, the diaphragm must be
fully assembled and connected. Then you can pressurize
the relevant system component.
CAUTION
CAUTION
Setting the switching point
Medium temperatures that differ from room
temperature (20°C) can shift the switching point or
lead to the failure of the pressure switch.
To adjust the diaphragm pressure switch you will need a
screwdriver, a continuity tester, and a control pressure
gauge.
1. Connect the electrical connections (2) with a continuity
tester.
When using a test lamp as continuity tester:
O Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum
approved switching capacity (100 VA).
2. First completely screw in the adjustment screw (3).
3. Apply the desired switching pressure to the diaphragm
pressure switch. Use a control pressure gauge.
4. Unscrew the adjustment screw (3) until the diaphragm
pressure switch switches over.
The continuity tester responds.
5. Correct the switching pressure by turning the
adjustment screw (3), if necessary.
7

Service and Maintenance

The device is maintenance-free.
O Only use water and, if necessary, a mild cleaning agent
for cleaning.
8

Disassembly and Exchange

Dismantling the diaphragm pressure
switch
System is under pressure and voltage!
Danger of injury and system damage from uncontrolled
system operating states.
O Make sure that the system component in which the
diaphragm pressure switch is installed is not under
pressure or voltage before beginning disassembly.
1. Remove the electrical connection.
2. Unscrew the diaphragm pressure switch from the
pressure connection with a 24 mm wrench. Only use
the wrench on the wrench flats. Never use the housing
as a contact surface.
Disposal
O Dispose of the product in accordance with the
currently applicable regulations in your country.
CAUTION
