3. SAFETY MEASURES

Working with compressed-air hose reels is not without danger. To reduce this danger
as much as possible, we have drawn up a number of safety measures. Always follow
up these directives and always be aware of what you are doing. In this way many
accidents can be avoided.
1.
46571: Make sure incoming pressure does not exceed the maximum working
pressure of 10 bar, for 46578 this should not exceed 15 bar.
2.
Keep children away from the working area.
3.
Use proper eye protection when assembling and using the hose reel.
4.
Assemble the hose reel on a wall with fastening screws. Both the wall and the
fastening screws must have sufficient bearing power.
5.
Check the air hose reel and the air hose regularly for air leakage using soap liquid.
6.
Do not drop any heavy objects on the hose and do not allow the hose to kink.
7.
Always allow clearance for the hose to avoid damage.
8.
Keep the equipment away from heat and fire, as this may damage the hose and
the hose reel.
9.
Be cautious when using compressed air. Never aim the flow at people or animals.
Exposure of skin directly to pressurized air could result in severe body injury. Do
not use compressed air to clean clothing.
10. Only those persons who are aware of how to use the air reel hose, by having read
this manual, should use the equipment. Injudicious use may cause danger.
4. ASSEMBLY
Attention: the assembling parts are not supplied.
To assemble the air hose reel, proceed as follows:
▪ Assemble the supplied brace to the hose reel with the 2 supplied bolts and rings.
▪ Next attach the brace with hose reel to a wall with sufficient bearing power. The
assembly screws are not supplied. Check if the assembly screws have sufficient
bearing power.
▪ The inlet and the outlet hose are already mounted to the hose reel.
▪ The connection is ¼ exterior.
5. MAINTENANCE
To prolong the life of the compressed-air hose reel, we advise you to consider the
following maintenance prescriptions.
• Do not assemble the air hose reel outdoor and prevent rain and snow to affect your
hose reel.
• Grease all moving parts at least once a year.
• Check the air hose reel and the air hose regularly for air leakage using soap liquid.
