Cleaning and care

Before beginning work, pay attention to
the safety instructions in the Safety sec-
tion (page 19)!

Cleaning the appliance

Pull the power adapter of the charging
‹
station out of the mains socket,
Use a slightly moist cloth to wipe
‹
off the housing of the hand vacuum
cleaner, the charging station and the
accessory parts.

Cleaning the dust container

Check the dust container (9) after empty-
ing each time, however at least every 3 to
6 months. If you detect dirt, clean the dust
container as follows:
Switch off the appliance.

Press the unlocking button (5), hold it
‹
down and pull the dust container off
the hand vacuum cleaner.
Empty the dust container (9).
‹
If necessary, clean the filter as de-
‹
scribed in the section Cleaning the
filter (page 25).
Rinse the dust container with water
‹
and clean it with a slightly damp cloth.
Push the dust container onto the drive
‹
unit until it audibly snaps in.

Cleaning the filter

The filter removes very fine particles be-
fore the air is blown out of the appliance.
Check the filter (11) every 3 to 6 months.
If dirt is detected during checking, clean
the filter.
Always clean the filter after vacuuming
fluids.
Proceed as follows:
Remove the dust container from the
‹
appliance.
Turn the filter unit (10 and 11) in the
‹
"OPEN" direction and remove it from
the filter unit of the hand vacuum
cleaner.
Pull the protective cover off the filter.
‹
Clean the filter with a brush. The filter
‹
can be flushed with water (maximum
40° Celsius). Vacuum stubborn dirt
in the filter with a different vacuum
cleaner.
Allow the filter to dry in the air for 24
‹
hours and insert it again only when it
is completely dry.
Put the protective cover onto the filter
‹
and push both parts together.
Put the filter unit into the "OPEN" po-
‹
sition on the motor unit and lock it by
turning it in the "CLOSE" direction.
Push the dust container onto the drive
‹
unit until it audibly snaps in.
