CHECKING THE QUANTITY OF GAS AT IGNITION
To check the quantity of gas at ignition, apply the following formula:
where Ts = Safety time in seconds
Qs = Energy freed in safety time expressed in kW
The Qs value is obtained from:
where Q1 = delivery expressed in liters freed in no. 10 startups in safety time.
Ts1 = total safety time of 10 startups
Qn = Rated output
To obtain Q1, proceed as follows:
● Detach the lead from the control electrode (ionization electrode).
● Read the gas meter before the test.

ADJUSTING START-UP GAS DELIVERY
Connect the pressure gauge to the pressure
connector nipples at inlet 4 and outlet 3. Loosen
the regulator by turning the main gas adjuster
screw 2 anti-clockwise (when the regulator is
2
loosened you will hear a click as you turn the
adjustment screw).
Start up the gas unit. Adjust start-up gas delivery
via the start-up gas adjustment screw 1. Turning
clockwise increases delivery. Turning anti-
clockwise decreases delivery.
ADJUSTING MAIN GAS DELIVERY
Connect the pressure gauge to the pressure
connector nipples at inlet 4 and outlet 3. Start up
the gas unit. Burner delivery must be adjusted by
means of the main gas adjustment screw 2.
Turning clockwise increases delivery. Turning anti-
clockwise decreases delivery.
