Secure the housing to wood, plastic, etc. with #10 x 1-inch
screws. When installing the EM3 on metal surfaces, drill
13/64-inch diameter holes at the positioning marks, and secure
the housing with #10 bolts, lockwashers, and nuts.
Connecting power to the EM3
Note that a ballast resistor and DPDT switches are used in 125 Vdc
and 250 Vdc units. The wiring of these components is shown by the
dashed lines in the Figure 2.
To connect power to the EM3
1.
Run wires from an external power source and control switches to
the terminal strip at the bottom of the extension module.
2.
Connect two leads from the power source to connections 1 and 2
on the terminal strip.
3.
Connect the control switch leads to connections on the terminal
strip as shown in the wiring diagram.
4.
Reinstall the covers on the housing with the previously removed
screws.
5.
Wire the control switches as shown in the wiring diagram.
6.
Connect the power leads to the power source.
