Calibration:
Calibration (adjustment) ensures that the weighing precision of your scale is maintained
according to specifications. Calibration weight is included with package.
Calibration Procedure:
Press and "hold" CAL/UNIT key (for approximately 3 seconds) or until the display shows
1
flashing weight value (example: "100.0" for model: PP-201). The flashing weight value
indicates the correct weight that must be placed on the center of the platform for
calibration (PP-201= 100gram / PP-401= 200gram / PP-62= 50gram).
Place the noted weight onto the center of the platform (note: if no weight is placed on the
2
pan within 12 seconds an "E" will be displayed and the unit will return to weigh mode).
3
If weight is accepted (typically within 10 seconds or less) the display will stop flashing
and briefly (4 seconds) display weight value with "g" symbol.
Four dashes "----" will then be shown indicating calibration is complete.
4
Remove calibration weight and display will return to zero reading.
5
If a calibration error has occurred an "E" will be displayed for 5 seconds and the unit will
6
return to the weigh mode. (please repeat steps 1-5)
Important:
Please allow the scale to stabilize and wait at least 30 seconds after turning scale on,
before calibration. During prolong periods of use repeat this procedure at regular
intervals for optimum accuracy. Before placing the weight onto the pan, make sure the
pan is thoroughly opened.
Note:
Please do not open or attempt to internally calibrate the scale. This will void the
warranty and may cause damage.
Care and Maintenance:
Do not clean with liquids or aggressive cleaning agents.
Do not use in liquids or water.
Avoid lengthy exposure to extreme heat or cold.
Allow scale a minimum of thirty seconds to warm up before calibration to allow internal
components to stabilize.
Keep product clean. Avoid: dust; dirt, & liquids from getting inside of scale, which can
adversely affect and damage the reliability and accuracy of the scale.
Vibrations, air currents and proximity to other electronic equipment may affect accuracy
of this product. For optimum performance please ensure weighing is done on a flat, solid
surface in a clean, stable environment.
Replace low or dead batteries.
