Permanent Roof Installation
1. Make four 5mm diameter holes in the vehicle roof.
2. Choose suitable fixings (not included) to fix the antenna on the vehicle roof.
Bond all surfaces with Sikaflex sealant.
3. Route all cables securely and plug the RF connector into the TV and the cigar
plug into a cigar plug socket. The cigar plug MUST be used as it contains the
protection for the electronics in the device. Under no circumstances should
the cigar plug be cut off and the unit hard-wired.
4. After installation, check the roof for leaks.
Magnetic Roof Installation
1. Use magnetic base to fix antenna to metal surface.
2. Route all cables securely and plug the RF connector into the TV and the cigar
plug into a cigar plug socket. The cigar plug MUST be used as it contains the
protection for the electronics in the device. Under no circumstances should
the cigar plug be cut off and the unit hard-wired.
Note
1. Do not connect the power until installation is complete and sealant has been
applied (if permanent fixing is used).
2. For better reception, the antenna should be kept away from other power
sources, coax cables etc.
3. Install as high as possible. If there is interference between the antenna and
transmission tower it will cause signal attenuation/loss in quality of reception.
4. Please fix the cable carefully to avoid snagging or catching.
