Do not pull or carry by the cord, use the cord as a handle, close a door on the cord, or pull the cord
around sharp edges or corners.
Switch off the ash vacuum cleaner before unplugging.
To reduce the risk of injury from accidental starting, unplug the power cord before changing or
cleaning the filter, and before assembling or disassembling.
Make sure that nobody can trip over the power cord.
Do not use with a damaged cord, plug, housing, or other parts.
Only use the device with the filter and filter enclosure properly installed. Do not use with a damaged
filter or filter enclosure. Only use filters as specified in the technical specifications at the end of this
manual.
If the appliance is not working as expected, has missing parts, has been dropped, damaged, left
outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service centre.
Do not let the device run unattended.
Do not use or store near hazardous materials.
The use of the vacuum cleaner can result in foreign objects being blown into the eyes. Always wear
safety goggles and a dust mask when operating the vacuum cleaner.
Do not put any object into ventilation openings. Do not vacuum with any ventilation openings blocked.
Keep ventilation openings free of dust, lint, hair, or anything that may reduce air flow.
Empty and clean the device before and after each use. This prevents fire hazards due to substances
building up in the canister.
Do not sit on the device. Do not place any object on top of the device.
Let the device and all accessories cool off to room temperature before cleaning the device.
Clean the filter and filter enclosure thoroughly after each use. A blocked filter or filter enclosure
reduces suction and can cause the device to overheat.
The filter and filter enclosure must be completely dry before fitting in the device.
Do not use cleaning agents, abrasives, or sharp tools to clean the device.
Risk of electroshock. Do not pour water in the canister. Do not rinse the canister with water. Wipe it
only with a well-wrung, humid towel, dry it with a clean cloth, and then let it air-dry completely before
installing the top cover.

Which Substances to Vacuum
This vacuum cleaner is only intended for vacuuming dry, cold ashes from fireplaces, wood or coal stoves,
ashtrays, grills.
Vacuum only cold ashes.
Hot substances can damage the vacuum cleaner and the filter, and may cause fire.
"Cold ash" is ash that has cooled down to below 40 °C (104 °F), and that has no pockets
or embers inside. Cold ash does not emit any recognisable heat. Use a metal tool to
scour the ashes for pockets and embers before using the vacuum cleaner. Materials that
appear to have cooled down, may still be very hot inside. Hot ash may ignite again with
air flow, and cause a fire hazard.
Do not vacuum hot, burning, or glowing objects. Do not vacuum ashes or other objects
of which the fire is not completely extinguished. Do not vacuum ashes or other objects
with a temperature above 40 °C (104 °F). Do not vacuum hot ashes, charcoal,
cigarettes, or matches.
Continuously check tubes, ash filter, and vacuum cleaner for excessive temperatures during the
vacuum cleaning. If you notice a temperature rise, switch off the vacuum cleaner immediately.
Disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet, let cool off, and remove the filter. Remove the
vacuumed material from the canister and filter.
In case of excessive temperatures, the tubes, the filter, or the vacuum cleaner may be damaged.
Completely empty the vacuum cleaner and the filter in a safe area after the vacuum cleaning. Let
both appliances (vacuum cleaner and filter) cool down under supervision.
