5.1

Preparing the installation site

The product must be installed in a suitable place,
where the normal use and adjustment operations
can be performed, as well as routine and non-
scheduled maintenance.
The necessary operating space must be prepared,
making reference to the measurements shown in
Fig. 3.

equipped with suitable water outlets in case of
damage to the boiler, the safety valve being
tripped or breakages in the pipework or
connectors;
equipped with any containment systems in
case of serious water leakages;
sufficiently lit.
5.2

Air ventilation connections

For the heat pump to work correctly, it requires
adequate air ventilation.
Create a specific air duct as shown in the figure

To ensure the heat pump is correctly ventilated,
the clearances indicated in section 5.1 must also
be respected.
Install the air duct making sure that it:
does not weight down on the appliance itself;
allows for maintenance work;
is
suitably
protected
accidentally getting inside the appliance itself;
does
not
exceed
recommended length of 6 metres (Ø125 mm
pipe with 2 x 90° elbow unions).
During operation, the heat pump tends to
lower the temperature in the room if the air
is not ducted.
A suitable protective grille must be installed
where the air outlet pipe connects with the
outdoors, to prevent foreign bodies from
entering the appliance. To guarantee
maximum product performance, the grille
must be a low load-loss model.
5.3

Non-standard installations

One of the unique features of heat-pump
heating
systems
considerable drop in the temperature of the
air usually expelled outdoors. The expelled air,
in addition to being colder than the air in the
environment, is also fully dehumidified. For this
reason, the flow of air can be fed back inside
the building again to cool rooms or spaces in
the summer.
A dual air outlet pipe is installed, with two
dampers attached (A and B), so as to be able
to direct the air flow either indoors (Fig. 5a) or
outdoors (Fig. 5b).
