ACCESSORIES AND SPARE PARTS

For your safety, and to ensure efficient operation, use
only original accessories and spare parts. These can be
obtained from your dealer.
SAFETY
Read these instructions before operating this power tool.
They contain information which will enable you to use the
tool safely and help protect those around you. A copy of
this instruction leaflet should be kept with the tool so that
you can refer to it quickly when undertaking work.
Another copy should be made and safely away.
Never use the machine with a damaged cable.
Only insert plug when machine is switched off.
Ensure that the cables are kept well clear of the
operating area so that there is no danger of the cable
being damaged.
Ensure the tool is switched off and has stopped
rotating before unplugging away.
Only use a fully unwound extension reel with a
minimum cross- section of 1mm
used outdoors only, use extension reels which are
marked as being suitable for outdoor use.
Connect machines that are used in the open via a
residual current device (RCD) with an actuating
current of 30 mA maximum
Use appropriate platforms and relevant harnesses
when working above ground level
Wherever possible, provide a blocking device for the
part to be drilled to prevent it slipping.
Should the power tool jam, switch it off immediately
and then unplug it. Do not recommence work until the
cause of the blockage has been identified. If the
machine is found to be faulty, have it examined by an
approved Perles repairer.
Wear protective goggles, sturdy gloves and hear
protection.
Always check before drilling for concealed electrical
cables and pipes.

. When the tool is
Hold the power tool only by the insulated gripping
surfaces, when performing an operation where the
cutting tool may run into hidden wiring or its own cord.
When working with the machine, always hold it firmly
with both hands and provide for a secure stance
For safety reasons work only with the auxiliary handle
mounted. Always hold the machine firmly (broken
wrists, fingers, arms or worse could result)
Power tools should not be used by children.
Machine is equipped with a safety clutch
- Clutch provides essential user/operator protection
from personal injury.
- engages when torques are too high and machine is
not safe to be held
- also protects motor from overload and damage by
shutting down if overloaded
NEVER use percussion or hammer action with dry
diamond core bit
Run machine at correct speed (refer to core bit
manufacturers speeds recommendations)
USE
Observe correct mains voltage: The voltage of the
power source must agree with the voltage specified on
the nameplate of the machine.
Switching On and Off
The power tool is started and stopped as follows :
Start:
press switch button
To lock on
push and hold the On/Off switch
and press the lock-on button
Stop
To switch off the machine, release the
On/Off switch
then
Speed control
Control the speed steeples from zero to maximum by
putting less or more pressure on the trigger.
To adjust the speed
The speed is set by changing the position of the wheel
into the trigger
Position F = Maximum speed.
To reverse the direction of rotation
Set the reversing button

It is very important to only change the setting
when the power tool has completely stopped! Any
attempt to reverse the direction of rotation while
the power tool is operating is likely to damage the
switch irreparably.
Rotational direction:
RIGHT
arrow by the rotational direction selector L/R pointing
forward towards the chuck marks clockwise rotational
direction
= Right Rotation (for drilling, impact drilling, driving
screws, etc.).
LEFT
arrow pointing back towards the rear end marks anti-
clockwise rotational direction
= Left Rotation (for loosening and unscrewing screws
and nuts)
