Handle
• Install the auxiliary handle as shown in the figure.
• Move the auxiliary handle through the string trimmer
arm to the right height to operate comfortably.
• Tighten the wing screw to fix the auxiliary handle into
position.
Cutting string replacement and mounting
• With the string trimmer off, remove the spool-retaining
cap (A) turning counter-clock.
• Remove the empty spool. Verify is clean and has no
damaged or worn parts.
• Cut two 8.85' lengths of cutting string.
• Insert both string ends in the orifices in each of the
spool sections (upper and lower) (B).
• Hold both strings and wind in the direction marked in the
spool. Verify each piece of string is wound in its respective
section (upper and lower). Do not wind too much string.
After winding there should be a 0.2" minimum distance left
between the edge of the spool and the wound string.
• Leave unwounded approximately 6" of both strings and
insert the upper section string in one of the nicks in the
spool cover. Give one more turn to the spool and insert
the thread in the opposite nick in the spool cover. This
operation guards the thread from unwinding while
installing the spool in the STRING TRIMMER. Later you
will release the threads from the nicks.
• Set the spool back in its cover (C) passing each string
end through the cover orifices. If the string is released or
tangled in this step, wind up again in the spool and secure
in its nicks.
• Thread the spool cover in the gearbox axis (D).
• Using force pull outwards both ends of cutting string to
release it from the nicks in the upper side of the spool (E).
• If installing a new spool releases the ends of the threads
from their nicks and unwind approximately 6" of both
threads, to secure them back in their nicks before setting
the spool in it's cover.
