QuickPic Camera IQP-500 (en)
Using the flash
In certain conditions you may
need to use a flash to compen-
sate for low light levels. Activate
the flash using the menu on
your mobile phone. Please note
that the flash has a range of
about two metres.
Taking a picture
1. Look through the viewfinder
and frame the subject. Hold
the camera steady.
2. Press the appropriate button
on your mobile to take the pic-
ture. Where possible, use the
button on the side of your mo-
bile.
The time between pressing
the button and actually taking
the picture may be between
0.5 and 1.4 seconds. The end
of the process is confirmed by
a beep.
3. The image will then be dis-
played on your mobile. You
can send, store or delete the
image using the controls on
your mobile.
4. You can now disconnect the
camera. The images will be
further processed in your mo-
bile phone. More information
about this can be found in
your mobile phone manual.
Storing images
You can archive the images on
your mobile phone or on your
PC.
The images are stored in JPEG
(.jpg) format. You can choose
between two different resolu-
tions:
• QQVGA (160 x 120 pixels)
• VGA (640 x 480 pixels)
Please read your mobile phone
manual to find out how to set
the different resolutions.
The size of the image file de-
pends on the resolution select-
ed. QQVGA resolution is ideal for
sending images by MMS thanks
to the smaller file sizes. VGA res-
olution is better for archiving im-
ages on your PC.
