Setting the IP address of the client PC

Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network Connections
1.
in the Windows Start menu.
Right-click on the selected network connection.

Select Properties in the context menu.

The Local Area Connection Properties dialog box appears.
Select an Internet protocol (TCP/IP).
4.
Click on Properties.
5.
The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box appears.
Activate the option Use the following IP address.

Enter 169.254.xxx.xxx for the IP address and 255.255.0.0 for the subnet
7.
mask.
Click OK.
8.
Restart your client PC.
9.
The device is now ready for software installation. See Section 10: Software.
