8.2 Filling and bleeding

Fill and bleed the system correctly. The pump rotor chamber normally bleeds
automatically after a short time in operation.
However, if direct bleeding of the rotor chamber is required, the bleeding function
can be started.
By turning the white knob to the symbol for bleeding in the middle
position, the bleeding function is activated after 5 seconds. The bleeding
function lasts 10 minutes and is indicated in the LED display by horizontal
bars moving upwards. Noises may be heard during the bleeding function. The
process can be stopped if desired by turning the white knob.
After 10 minutes, the pump stops and goes into a wait mode which is indicated by
the middle bar of the LED display flashing.
Afterwards, the control mode and the delivery head must be set in order to the put
the pump into operation, otherwise the pump will come back to factory setting.
NOTE: The bleeding function removes accumulated air from the rotor chamber of
the pump. The bleeding function does not bleed the heating system.
8.3 Setting the control mode (Fig. 2a, 2b) and the delivery head
To select the control mode symbol and set the desired delivery head, turn the
white knob.

Variable differential pressure (Δp-v): Fig. 2a
The pump for the control mode Δp-v is set on the left of the middle
position.
Constant differential pressure (Δp-c): Fig. 2b
The pump for the control mode Δp-c is set on the right of the middle
position.
NOTE: If a NXL/NYL type pump is replaced by a PRIUX home, the white knob can
be moved to the first, second or third increment on the scale for Δp-c. This can be
used as a reference point for setting the pump setpoint. This setting corresponds
to the similar delivery head for every switching stage on a NXL/NYL pump, with
the same zero-delivery head, at a volume flow of 1 m³/h.
