Cabling 32-A and 40-A PDUs
The 32-A and 40-A PDUs can be used as power extensions from a main AC source. The 32-A and 40-A
PDUs are hardwired to a main AC source using terminal block connections. Up to four 10-A power strips can
be used as power extensions from a 32-A PDU, as long as the total combined current is less than 32 A.
Up to four 12-A power strips can be used as power extensions from a 40-A PDU, as long as the total
combined current is less than 32 A (see Figure 1-14).
CAUTION:
PDUs that attach directly to a main AC source by terminal block connections must be installed
by a licensed electrician. Always follow the local and national electrical codes and regulations for your country
or region.
