1. Installation S-Eco
Always consult the manual of your controller for the
correct installation and position of the sensor.
1. Switch off the controller before connecting the S-
Eco, to prevent malfunctions.
2. Connect the sensor to any UTP port of the
controller.
3. Do not place the S-Eco in direct sunlight nor in the
direct airflow of fans. Also prevent too much
moisture (water spraying). This can effect the
measurements.
However, ensure that the light sensor (the milk-
coloured cap on top of the S-Eco) can detect light
directly to enable automatic switching between day
and night mode.
4. Mount the sensor about 1 meter above the floor
using the supplied mounting kit.
NOTE: The S-Eco comes with a UTP cable of 5
meters. The maximum allowed length is 15 meters.
Do not use connectors or cross cables to extend the
cable, but purchase a UTP cable with the correct
length. Using the wrong cable can cause serious
damage to your equipment. This damage is not
covered by the warranty that TechGrow provides.
Damage caused by water is also not covered by
warranty.
2. Operation of the S-Eco
The S-Eco measures the CO
and detects light. The built-in light sensor enables
automatic switching between day and night mode. You
can also opt for a non-stop day mode (see section 3).
Moreover, the S-Eco is equipped with Automatic
Baseline Calibration (ABC function). This calibration
serves to eliminate the zero drift of the infrared sensor.
The ABC function is set to "OFF" by default. You can
activate the ABC function via the DIP switch (see section
4).

The S-Eco also has a manual calibration function that
allows you to calibrate the sensor in fresh air (400 ppm),
if necessary. The manual calibration menu is only
accessible through a CO

The S-Eco is suitable for the T-Nano and T-Micro.
The S-Eco is also compatible with the T-1 Pro, but the T-
1 Pro runs faster with an S-2 or S-4 sensor. Always
consult the manual of your controller for the most
suitable sensor.
3. Non-stop day mode
The light sensor (LDR: light-dependent resistor) enables
automatic switching between day and night mode.
You can also opt for a non-stop day mode. To manually
set this non-stop day mode, complete the following
steps:
1. Open the housing of the sensor with a thin and
sturdy object, for example a precision screwdriver.
Carefully insert it straight through one of the
rectangular holes on the back of the sensor. Push
the side of the housing out slightly, and carefully
pull out the front. Repeat if necessary with the other
holes.
2. Locate DIP switch 4.
3. Switch DIP switch 4 to position "ON" for a non-stop
day mode (or back to "4" for automatic switching
between day and night mode).
4. Close the housing.
NOTE If you change the position of a DIP switch, the
start-up time of 90 seconds starts again.
