6. Electrical connection

Power supply

N : AC neutral, plus or minus for DC
P : AC hot, plus or minus for DC
: Protective ground
Wire the light curtain to the Universal Power Supply
• The receiver connector (3-pin WAGO connector) must be plugged into the 3-pin WAGO plug.
• The emitter connector (2-pin WAGO connector) must be plugged into the 2-pin WAGO plug.
Follow the wiring diagram (Figure 3) to connect the door drive to the relay output. Only if the relay is connected
as shown in the diagram below, will the whole unit work as a "fail safe"

2 Fail Safe Operation:
Due to the nature of door system designs, (which as complete systems are not fail safe), doors can close even with an obstacle present in
extremely rare conditions. Therefore, there must be, by code, other safety means to prevent passengers from being hurt by the elevator
doors. These dangerous situations should and can be detected by the elevator control, which should, in such a case, take the elevator out
of service.
This device (as well as all other door protection systems on the market) cannot – by its nature – provide absolute safety for elevator
passengers passing through the doorway. It must not be used as the final fail-safe device of the door mechanism. This ultimate safety
function has to be provided by a fail safe force and kinetic energy limiter.

UPS LED definition:
- Power LED (green) is ON, if supply voltage is connected correctly.
- Output LED (orange) is ON, if the protected area is obstructed.
Buzzer definition:
- Buzzer is OFF, if the protected area (light curtain) is not obstructed.
- The buzzer can be turned on/off by using a switch.
Relay definition:
In the configuration shown, the relay is energized if there is
voltage applied and there is no obstruction. Contact between
COM and NO (safest connection).

The contact rating of the output relay is:
max. 250 VAC / 5 A
