Insignia NS-S4000 Clock Radio with iPod Dock

Troubleshooting

Problem
No power
Stopped working
Cannot insert iPod
The iPod will not operate
The iPod will not charge.
Possible Problem
AC adapter is not securely
connected.
The batteries are dead.
The clock radio with iPod
dock needs to be reset.
The selected dock cradle is
not compatible.
The dock cradle is not fully
inserted into your clock
radio with iPod dock.
The connector plug of your
clock radio with iPod dock
is not firmly inserted into
the connector port of the
iPod.
The iPod may not be
functioning.
The connector plug of your
clock radio with iPod dock
is not firmly inserted into
the connector port of the
iPod.
The AC adapter is not
connected.
You have a 3G iPod.

Possible Solution
Make sure the AC adapter
is securely connected to
the clock radio with iPod
dock and the wall outlet.
Replace the batteries.
Press the reset switch with
the tip of a pointed object.
Then, press the
to turn on your clock radio
with iPod dock.
Confirm the compatibility of
the iPod and the dock
cradle in the "iPod
compatibility chart" on
page 16.
Make sure the dock cradle
is properly inserted.
Firmly insert the connector
plug into the connector port
on the iPod.
Test the iPod functions on
its own to make sure it
functions properly when
not connected to your clock
radio with iPod dock.
Make sure the connector
plug is firmly connected to
the connector port on the
iPod.
Make sure the AC adapter
is securely connected to
the clock radio with iPod
dock and the wall outlet.
The iPod will not charge
while your clock radio with
iPod dock is operated on
batteries.
Set the charging mode to
"FC". See "Charging the
3G iPod battery" on
page 23.
