we congratulate you on the purchase of a product from the high-quality Ubbink BioBalance pond filter series.
With these instructions for use, you receive important information which is useful for the assembly, commissioning and maintenance of your BioPressure pressure filter. Please read
these instructions for use prior to installation of the filter, and familiarise yourself with the device. It is essential that you observe the safety guidelnes for correct and safe use. Please
store these instructions for use carefully!

Safety guidelines
WARNING:
UV radiation is hazardous to the eyes and skin. The UV-C lamp may not be operated if it has been taken out of the device housing!
CAUTION:
This unit contains a UV-C lamp! Inadvertent use of the device or damage to the housing can cause the leakage of hazardous UV-C radiation. Even
low doses of UV-C radiation can cause damage to the eyes and skin.
• The power supply must accord with the product specifications. Do not connect the UV-C device if the power supply does not fulfil the specified regulations! You can receive further
information from your local, authorised electrician.
• The power circuit for the UV-C device must be secured via a protection switch (residual current or RCD) with a rated residual current of max. 30 mA.
• Prior to each intervention (installation, maintenance, etc.), the UV-C device must be disconnected from the mains!
• The pressure filter incl. the UV-C device may not under any circumstances be put into use under water and must be installed next to the pond so that the risk of flooding is excluded.
• The installation of the pressure filter must take place at a distance of more than 2 m and the power connection at a distance of more than 3.5 m to the pond or water basin.
• It is prohibited to open the UV-C device or its associated parts if this is not expressly stipulated in these Instructions for use. This also applies for technical changes to the device.
• The UV-C device features a safety switch which automatically interrupts the power supply when the device is opened. –The mains plug and all connection points must always be
kept dry. The connection cable of the UV-C device should be laid so that it is protected from damage.
• The pressure filter may not be put into operation until all components and hose connections have been installed.
