Use of the auxiliary handle is obligatory in order to ensure

greater control and safety when handling the tool. The aux-
iliary handle (B) must be screwed on to the right or left side,

depending on the type of work to be carried out.

Fitting the accessories
- Unplug the appliance from the mains.
- Block the spindle (F) by pressing the Spindle blocking button
(E). The spindle must be stopped before pressing the spindle
blocking button.
- With the Tightening key (K) remove the clamping nut (J) from
the spindle (F).
- Assemble the tool on the support plate (H).
- Assemble the clamping nut (J) using the tightening key (K).
The position of the clamping nut (J) will depend on the thick-
ness of the tool (see fig 3 and 4).
- Once the tool is assembled check if the spindle blocking but-
ton (E) has return to its original position.
Use:
- Connect the appliance to the mains.
- Turn the appliance on, by using the on/off switch.
- Be careful of the shavings that fly off. Hold the tool that so
the sparks fly away from you, other people or inflammable
materials.
- When carrying out grinding operations, it is advisable that the
angle between the surface and the disc is approximately 15º -
30º for the best results.
- When cutting, do not press on the disc. The discs should not
en re-
move sideways or oscillate. The tool should advance smoothly
at the beginning and later moderately and adapted to the type
r coin-
of material. The tool should move in the opposite direction to
the advance of the disc, never in the same direction, as there
supply
would be a risk of the machine dumping out of the cutting line
in an uncontrolled manner.
Once you have finished using the appliance:
- Stop the appliance by releasing the on/off switch.
Cleaning
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool
before undertaking any cleaning task.
- Clean the electrical equipment and the mains connection with
a damp cloth and dry. DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER OR ANY
OTHER LIQUID.
- Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of
washing-up liquid and then dry.
- Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such
as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
- Do not let water or any other liquid get into the air vents to
avoid damage to the inner parts of the appliance.
- Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or
place it under running water.
- If the appliance is not in good condition of cleanliness, its sur-
face may degrade and inexorably affect the duration of the ap-
pliance's useful life and could become unsafe to use.

- Always use original supplies, designed specifically for your
appliance model.
- These supplies are available in specialist shops.
Anomalies and repair
- Take the appliance to an authorised technical support service
if a product damage or other problems arise. Do not try to dis-
mantle or repair without assistance, as this may be dangerous.
- If the connection to the mains has been damaged, it must be
replaced and you should proceed as you would in the case
of damage.
