INSTALLATION
●
Screw the two sections to the sides of the
DISAT 6 using the 4 screws supplied, as shown
in Figure 1. Install the unit on the wall in vertical
position, using the fixing holes. The unit must be
sufficiently ventilated. You should leave a distance
of at least 20 cm between the DISAT 6 and any
units installed below or above it. Do not cover the
ventilation grilles.

CONNECTION
●
We recommend you install an LNB Quattro for
simultaneous availability of the four polarities,
one for each output connector: LH, LV, HH, HV.
●
Connect the cables running from the LNB Quattro
to the 1st IF-SAT input(s). Split the same polarity
using the F(m) – F(m) hoses supplied, as shown in
Figure 1.
In the case of having an input signal higher than
77 dBµv, it is necessary to place a 10dB attenuator
at the input of the first receiver of the splitting (Two
10 dB attenuators are supplied with the DISAT 6).
Example: 1 4 programs from one satellite
polarity, input level lower that 77 dBµv.
2 2 programs from another satellite
polarity, input level HIGER that 77 dBµv.
DO NOT LOAD the last 1st FI-SAT output with 75Ω,
CONTINUOUS VOLTAGE PRESENT.
●
The 1st FI-SAT inputs allow the current to flow to
supply the LNB(s).
●
The maximum supply current for each input is
400 mA.
●
DISAT 6 is powered via a 230 Vac socket with
earth connection via the network cable supplied.
●
Other signals to be distributed can be mixed with
the DISAT 6 output channels, via the RF mix input
(see page 2 Controls, Nº 7: IN AUX).
PROGRAMACIÓN
●
When the 230 Vac supply is connected, the
DISAT 6 runs a start-up process lasting approximately
1 minute. When this is complete, the DISAT 6 starts
to work with the programming buttons blocked.
●
To start the programming, press the – and + buttons
simultaneously and hold them down for 5 seconds.
When the unit is unlocked, the initial programming
menu is shown on the display (Programming Diagram).
(Note: The symbols on the right of each display
indicate the buttons to be pressed for programming
the corresponding parameter).
●
The steps for programming each of the 6 modules
(receiver + modulator) are as follows:
1. Select the module number.
2. Select "Setup SAT".
●
IF SAT Frequency: Enter the number of the
Intermediate Satellite Frequency you wish
to tune.
How is the FI SAT calculated? If the desired satellite
frequency is at a high polarity, the FI SAT is obtained by
subtracting 10600 MHz from the satellite frequency. If it is
at a low polarity, subtract 9750 MHz.
●
Symbol Rate: Enter the Symbol Rate (SR) of the
satellite frequency you wish to tune.
The Symbol Rate corresponding to each satellite
signal can be consulted in specialist magazines.
●
FEC Rate:
●
Select the "FEC" of the chosen satellite
frequency.
●
Select "Auto" if you want the DISAT 6
to calculate the FEC automatically.
●
22 KHz: To enable/disable the 22 KHz.
Enable the 22 KHz if you are using a Universal LNB
and you wish to tune a satellite frequency that is
coming in at a high polarity. If you are using an LNB
Quattro, enabling the 22 KHz will have no effect.
●
POWER LNB: To enable the VDC voltage on the
1st FI-SAT connectors.
●
Polarization: Vertical: The VDC voltage at the
1st FI-SAT connectors will be 13 VDC.
Horizontal: The VDC voltage at the 1st FI-SAT
connectors will be 18 VDC.
This parameter is only important if you are using a
Universal LNB. In this case, select Vertical if the
desired satellite frequency is coming in at a vertical
polarity, and select Horizontal if the satellite frequency
is at a horizontal polarity. If you are using a LNB Quattro,
the configuration of this parameter does not matter.
●
Test Configuration: Press the ENTER button.
If the receiver has been tuned without any
problem, OK will appear on the DISAT 6 display.
If the receiver could not be tuned, the DISAT 6
will show the corresponding error on the display.
In this case, you will need to check the parameters
programmed until you find the error.
3. Select "Select Service".
●
Getting srv... DISAT 6 is searching for the TV,
radio and data programs picked up in the satellite
frequency that has been tuned in the previous
steps.
●
Choose Service: Select the desired TV or radio
programme.
