Megohmmeter Test
1. Visually inspect the tester, test leads,
and alligator clips.
2. Plug the red test lead into the positive
jack, and plug the black test lead into
the negative jack.

4. Turn the crank clockwise approximately
2-1/2 to 3 turns per second. The
pointer should move to the right-hand
side of the scale (toward the infinity
mark). Any other reading indicates that
the test leads are damaged or the
megohmmeter needs repair.
5. Connect the alligator clips together.

mately 2-1/2 to 3 turns per second.

hand side of the scale (toward zero).
