• When plugged into power sources such as
generators or sources that convert DC to AC,
the red charging indicator may blink twice, switch
off and repeat. This indicates a temporary
problem of the power source. The charger will
automatically switch back to normal operation.
Inserting and removing the battery pack
• Insert the battery pack into the grip until it clicks
in place.
• To remove the battery pack, press the two
release buttons (6) simultaneously and pull the
pack out of the grip.
Removing and assembling the shear head and
cutter blade assembly (fig. B & C)
Removing the shear head from the tool
• Loosen the cap screws (9) using the Allen key (4).
• Pull the shear head (3) forward. If necessary,
slightly twist the head while pulling.
Removing the cutter assembly from the shear head
• Remove the cap screws (9) from the shear head
(3). Do not misplace the spacer bushings (14).
• Remove the middle cutter blade (15) by tapping it
gently to the rear. The left blade (16) and the spacer
blade (13) will now drop from the shear head.
Removing the eccentric bearing assembly
• Loosen the eccentric nut (10).
• Remove the eccentric disc (11) and the washer (12)
from the spindle.
Assembling the eccentric bearing assembly
• Place the washer (12) onto the spindle.
• Place the eccentric disc (11) and nut (10)
onto the spindle.
• Tighten the eccentric nut (10).
• Lubricate the bearing assembly using a good
grade of bearing grease.
Mounting the cutter assembly in the shear head
• Place the left blade (16) and the spacer blade
(13) into position in the shear head (3).
• Insert the centre cap screw (9) through the left blade.
• Place a spacer bushing (14) between the blades
and onto the cap screw. Insert the end of the
cap screw into the spacer blade. Do not tighten.
19
• Insert a spacer bushing (14) into the hole in the
centre blade (15) and lubricate.
• Insert the centre blade (15) between the blades in
the shear head.
• Line up the front hole in the centre blade with the
front hole in the shear head.
• Insert a cap screw (9) into the front hole and
tighten the screw.
• Apply a good grade of bearing grease onto the
centre blade where it will touch the eccentric
bearing assembly.
• Insert a cap screw (9) into the rear hole.
Do not fully tighten.
Mounting the shear head on the tool
• Make sure that all cap screws (9) are loosened a
few turns.
• Place the shear head onto the tool. Lightly tap if
necessary.
• Alternately tighten the cap screws (9).
Adjusting the cutter blades (fig. C & D)
Depending on the workpiece material, the curl of
waste material may hit the shear head or workpiece
while cutting. If adjustment is necessary:
• Loosen the cap screws (9) and tap the left blade
(16) forward or backward.
• Tighten the cap screws (9).
• Check and repeat as necessary.
Positioning the shear head (fig. D)
To facilitate safe cutting at any angle, the shear head
can be rotated.
• Loosen the cap screws (9).
• Set the shear head (3) to the desired angle.
• Tighten the cap screws (9).
Instructions for use
• Always observe the safety instructions
and applicable regulations.
• Clamp the workpiece whenever possible.
Prior to operation:
• Make sure your battery pack is (fully) charged.
