5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING
Ensure that the tower fan is unplugged before cleaning it! Make sure that no moisture gets
inside the device.
• Do not use solvents, other aggressive cleaning/scrubbing agents or alcohol, as these could
damage the surface. Do not use any abrasive or hard objects for cleaning.
• If there is heavy dirt, clean the housing using a damp cloth (water or a mild cleaning solution).
• Clean the ventilation grilles with a soft, dry brush.
• If the device is not to be used for an extended period of time, clean the device and store it in its
original packaging in a dry environment and without weighing it down.

7. DISPOSAL

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in the household waste at the
end of its useful life. Dispose of the device at a suitable local collection or recycling point
in your country. Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device
in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
If you have any questions, please contact the local municipal authorities that deal with
waste disposal. You can obtain the location of collection points for old devices from the
local or municipal authorities, local waste disposal company or your retailer, for example.
Disposing of the batteries
Remove the batteries from the remote control to dispose of them properly.
Empty, completely flat batteries must be disposed of through specially designated collection boxes,
recycling points or electronics retailers. You are legally required to dispose of the batteries.
• The codes below are printed on batteries containing harmful substances:
Pb = battery contains lead
Cd = battery contains cadmium
Hg = battery contains mercury.
