Reactivating the charcoal filter
The charcoal filter must not be
cleaned in a dishwasher!
It must be reactivated in an oven or
in a steam combination oven.
Do not wash the charcoal filter by
hand.
The charcoal filter is breakable.
When handling it, be careful not to
drop it. Do not press against the
webbing either.
Wipe the charcoal filter with a damp
cloth before reactivating it. Do not
use any cleaning agents.
If your oven has a removable grease
filter in the back of the oven
compartment, please remove it. See
the operating instructions supplied
with the oven for information on how
to do this.
Do not pre-heat the oven
compartment. Place the charcoal
filter on the rack in the centre of the
oven compartment.
Switch the oven on, or the oven
function of your steam combination
oven on, and select: Fan plus
200 °C.
Odours may arise during
reactivation.
Reactivation should be carried out in
a well-ventilated room. Open a
window if necessary.

Reactivation takes 60 minutes.
Switch the oven off, or the oven
function on your steam combination
oven off, once the process has
finished.
Do not take the charcoal filter
out of the oven while it is still hot and
do not place it on heat-sensitive
surfaces while it is hot.
Leave it in the oven compartment
until it has cooled down.
After it has cooled down, place the
charcoal filter in the recirculation box
and refit the ventilation grille.
If your cooker hood has a charcoal
filter operating hours counter , it
must be reset after reactivating the
filters. Please observe the operating
instructions supplied with your
cooker hood.
Replacing charcoal filters
The charcoal filter should be replaced
every 3 years.

Disposing of charcoal filters
Used charcoal filters can be disposed
of with normal household waste.
Cleaning the casing
Clean the ventilation grille and the
internal areas of the casing when the
filter has been removed. Use warm
water with a little washing-up liquid
applied with a sponge.
