Springbow/Technique for Use
DO NOT tighten a clamp without first inserting a bitefork stem into
the clamp. Such action will distort the clamp and render it inoperable
or cause the bitefork stem to bind. Before each use lubricate the bite-
fork stem and the rods on which the clamps glide. Note: The Springbow
may be made sterile via steam autoclave. Place the bitefork with regis-
tration material in the patient's mouth.

5. In one smooth motion expand the bow
and seat the earpieces into the patient's
ear canals. (The clamp on the bitefork
stem self centers the correct front to
back distance for this patient.)

2. Hold clamp in the right hand; the left
hand holds the Springbow (see drawing).
